BOC Gases Ireland Hosts a Food Applications Day
December 2009
BOC Gases Ireland held a Food Applications Open day in Dublin on 10th December to show case product and service offerings to customers in the Food industry in Ireland.
It was held in association with Teagasc at their facility in Ashtown Dublin. It was organised by Dermot Russell BDM. It brought together the key stakeholders of the Irish food industry under one roof – Teagasc who are responsible for food research , development and innovation, the Original Equipment Manufacturers who supply food processing equipment, the end users who are the food processors and potential customers of BOC.
Experts from the Linde GET (Global expert team) gave a presentation on their respective area of expertise. The topics presented were Water applications by Stuart Piggott, Cryogenic freezing and chilling by Keith Nicholson, Aquaculture by Ove Jgenstenli, MAP by Dannielle Traa and Refrigerants by Barry Lyons. There were two display stands from BOC showing our range of safety products led by Gareth Dumbrell and material sales led by Stephen Kilduff. We invited other key industry players who exhibited including WITT gas analysers, Multivac packaging machines and Alert Packaging. To support the Cryogenic freezing and chilling presentation, we also had an LN2 MT freezing tunnel on display.
By running this open day, it has helped educate the market to the more innovative solutions available from the BOC and the Linde Group coupled with the expertise that our company has to offer business in Ireland.
