Third-party audit recognises quality management across cylinder filling, onsite and distribution activities
This Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) will demonstrate that an independent and accredited body has verified BOC has a robust Quality Management System in place to consistently supply in Ireland products that are safe for food use with their traceability and security well managed. This meets the expectations of our food and beverage customers, and subsequent consumers of their products, that BOC gases can be used with confidence.
The auditor stated that the generation of five minor non-conformities after 4.5 days of auditing “is an excellent achievement for an organisation going through its first assessment”.
Nine months of work by operational teams, facilitated by the Ireland health & safety team, has resulted in a recommendation by a third-party auditor for cylinder filling activities at Belfast, Cork and Dublin; OnSite activities at Cork and Dublin; and Ireland distribution activities; to receive FSSC 22000 certification.
The food and beverage industry is a significant market sector for us in Ireland and BOC Gases recognises that increasing quality and food safety standards are essential to this customer group.
