BOC, the UK & Ireland’s largest supplier of industrial gases and related equipment, is showcasing its latest developments in flexible cryogenic food processes at Foodex 2016, which is being held at the NEC in Birmingham on 18th-20th April 2016.
Visitors to BOC’s stand on J280 in Hall 20 will have the opportunity to see from up close:
• BOC’s CRYOLINE® family of freezers
• Our Modified Atmosphere Packaging MAPAX® solutions
• The latest additions to our Innovations pipeline.
And if you are attending Foodex then, just for fun, test your putting skills as you navigate our miniature CRYOLINE themed crazy golf.
Our engineers are continually working on developing innovative cryogenic solutions that serve the needs of our customers in the food & beverage industry. Visit us to find out more about how we can help poultry producers fight Campylobacter with the PREVENTUM™ Rapid Surface Chilling technology, how we intend to revolutionise ready-meal production with our Advance Sauce -Cooling System and how we harness the power of liquid nitrogen to offer green refrigeration systems for transport.
Jan Ellringmann, BOC’s Director of Bulk and Packaged Gases, says: “Foodex 2016 is a key national show for the whole food & drink industry and BOC is delighted to be exhibiting at it. Food manufacturers are under pressure to ensure the highest levels of product quality, yet they also need to keep costs to a minimum. As the chilled and frozen food sector market becomes increasingly competitive, BOC is committed to providing innovative, cost effective solutions for food processing, packaging and logistics for our customers.”
Scale models of the CRYOLINE CW tunnel and XF spiral freezers will be on view at Foodex 2016. The CRYOLINE CW tunnel is a unique multi-purpose freezer which combines high-quality individually quick frozen (IQF) freezing characteristics with the efficiency of an in-line tunnel, allowing users to switch product lines easily and efficiently. Freezing with cryogenic gas results in exceptionally high quality IQF; ensuring product quality through minimal dehydration, combined with the added benefit of product yields up to 99.5%.
Committed to innovation and pushing the boundaries of cryogenic freezing technology, BOC, which is part of The Linde Group, is challenging the volume capabilities of mechanical systems with the CRYOLINE XF spiral freezer. Delivering up to 10 times the heat transfer rate of its mechanical counterparts and reducing dehydration levels by up to 80%, the XF is ideal for those with limited floor space thanks to its 50% smaller footprint.
Scale models of both freezers will be available on BOC’s stand for visitors to view.
BOC’s expert food team will be on hand to tell you all about how our state of the art technologies and applications can optimise processes, improve quality, increase yield, extend shelf life and maximise profitability.
