BOC offers a wide range of heat treatment process technologies, equipment, gases, expertise and cutting-edge solutions to support your heat treatment business.
Built on decades of technical expertise and patented technologies, BOC’s solutions to the heat treatment industry are aimed at improving quality, increasing productivity, optimising operational costs and minimising environmental impact.
Whether you are looking at products and support for specific processes or industries, we have the right solutions to suit your needs.
Applications we support:
Annealing | Annealing is achieved with a heat treatment process that requires a neutral or inert controlled atmosphere. |
Autoclave Composite Curing | Industrial autoclaves are large pressure vessels used to process composite materials, applying heat and pressure onto the materials to cure resins. |
Brazing | Brazing allows diverse configurations of parts, dissimilar metals and non-metals of non-uniform thickness to be joined. |
Carburising & Carbonitriding | A carburising atmosphere must be able to transfer carbon (also nitrogen in the case of carbonitriding) to the steel surface. |
Galvanising / Gas wiping | The use of nitrogen for gas wiping of galvanised strip and wire has been widely adopted to give a better surface finish. |
Hardening | Neutral hardening is a heat treatment procedure for steels with the aim to produce a martensitic microstructure. |
Nitriding & Nitrocarburising | Nitriding & Nitrocarburising procedures involve the diffusion of nitrogen into the surface layers of a low carbon steel at elevated temperatures. |
Quenching & Cooling | The use of gas quenching in vacuum furnaces has advantages over both conventional processing and liquid quenching. |
Sintering | Sintering can produce parts that are harder (martensitic) and/or tougher (martensitic/bainitic) by controlling the cooling rate. |
Sub Zero Treatments | Use a moderately cold process for stabilisation and austenite removal or extreme cold to improve wear resistance. |
Other Applications | BOC also offers a range of applications for a variety of heat treatment processes such as autoclaves and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). |
