PLASTINUM™ GIM: the success story
Engel Formenbau und Spritzguss wanted to improve their manufacturing process of high-quality gas injection-moulded components, so they came to The Linde Group to help search for the answers. Linde's liquid nitrogen flushing solution helped them to increase productivity and lower their costs.
BOC delivers cost-savings in wastewater treatment
Oxygen transfer and biomass separation systems from BOC have helped many industries extend the life of their wastewater treatment plants. Now BOC's unique wastewater technology called Axenis goes even further to produce high quality, reusable water and reduce costs for the industry.
Fuelling the future: BOC powers hydrogen transport
BOC has built and now operates the UK’s first open-access, 350/700 bar hydrogen refuelling station in Swindon. Developers and operators of hydrogen vehicles can register to fill up their vehicles at this state-of-the-art facility, situated within easy reach of London, the Midlands and Wales.
IBL Cold Stores: finding the right alternative to R22
European legislation is leading to a phase-out of HCFC refrigerant gases. This poses a number of challenges for the coldstore sector. BOC's specialist refrigeration expertise has helped IBL Cold Stores identify and implement a cost-effective solution.
Fuel cells: today's technology for tomorrow's cars
Hydrogen fuel cell technology offers a sustainable transport solution. Using hydrogen to produce the electricity which powers the engine, this 'in car' capability has the potential to bring about a step-change in personal mobility. It is a concept supported by BOC, and successfully demonstrated by the Riversimple local car.
Hymera: delivering power efficiently for smaller loads
The move to a low carbon economy calls for alternative fuel sources. Hydrogen fuel cell power generation delivers this. It brings the benefits of hydrogen, the world's cleanest fuel, to high-efficiency, low power electrical appliances such as TVs, traffic management systems and surveillance cameras. Hymera, a BOC innovation, marks a critical step-change in the transition to clean, off-grid electrical power generation and a greener environment.
