Bulk Gases

For those whose manufacturing and production processes rely on the continuing supply of liquefied gases on a bulk scale, the choice of gas supplier is critical.

However, we go beyond our leading production and delivery infrastructure in order to work with our customers. We gain an in-depth understanding of your processes that helps you to improve your productivity, and quality and meet exacting environmental requirements.

Liquefied industrial gases include liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and liquid argon. All are produced in large quantities at air separation plants which liquefy and distil the air into its component parts at cryogenic temperatures. Liquid carbon dioxide, which is recovered and purified from industrial sources, is also available in bulk volumes.

BOC’s liquefied industrial gases are supplied in large bulk volumes to customers by cryogenic tankers into onsite storage, for use in a wide variety of applications.

They are stored as cryogenic liquids in vacuum-insulated vessels which can provide several days' supply and can be used, on-demand, as either a liquid or gas.

BOC has the largest production capability in the UK and Ireland for bulk liquefied gases of any gas supplier. With seven air separation plants (ASUs), and the only one based in Ireland, we ensure a secure supply for your peace of mind.

With over 100 dedicated bulk cryogenic tankers operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, BOC has the largest delivery fleet in the industry. It is also the only wholly-owned and operated fleet, operating out of 12 strategically placed sites across the UK and Ireland.
