The resulting mixture of purge gas and unwanted gas is then vented away (to atmosphere or scrubber). Repeating the process a number of times produces increasingly dilute amounts of unwanted gas on each cycle.
Dilution purging can be improved further by venting the mixture of gas to a vacuum. This vacuum can be produced by a vacuum pump or venturi vacuum generator.
Features
- For dilution purging
- Allows purge gas to be introduced to HP part of system
- Allows isolation of regulator and downstream from purging volume, creating a small volume to purge with minimal dead ends
- Available in stainless steel only for use with non corrosive and corrosive gases and the choice of handwheel or lever operated diaphragm valves
